Our tours

We update our tours regularly. We monitor your feedback carefully. It sometimes results in changes in the itineraries of the tours. Usually these changes are small. We will inform you as soon as possible if these changes affect a trip you already have booked with us.

Below each tour, there is a section of inclusions. This sections details which services, meals, entrance fees and other items are included and which are not. If there are any omissions or mistakes, please inform us as soon as possible. If our guide forgot to cover certain services or costs during the tour, please contact us as quickly as possible.

1. Reservations:

We only guarantee bookings when payment has been made. If a confirmed accommodation is not available, we will provide the best possible alternative. That is at least of the same standard or higher. If such accommodations are not available, we will compensate this by upgrading the hotel in another location.

2. Insurance:

You are responsible for having proper and adequate travel insurance for the duration of the trip. Chiang Mai a la Carte provides limited medical coverage. This insurance is according to the regulations of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

3. Cancellation Fees:

If you want to cancel a tour, please notify us as soon as possible by email. Below are our cancellation fees. Please be aware we only count working days. Our office is open daily, except on Sundays. We are also closed on the following public holidays: April 13 and 14, December 25 and January 1 and 2.

For standard programs: you can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the start of our tour. Between 7 days and 48 hours before the start of services, we will charge you 50% of the tour costs. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the start of our tour, we will charge you 100% of the tour costs.

For bespoke programs: If you can cancel up to 15 days before the start of our tour, there is a charge of 10%. Between 15 days and 72 hours before the start of services, we will charge you 20% of the tour costs. If you cancel between 72 and 24 hours before the tour, the charge will be 50%. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start of our trip, we will charge you 100% of the tour costs.

We reserve the right to give no refund in case of cancellation of the remaining program, in full or partial, by the travellers after they started the tour.

Of course we will treat cancellations on a case-by-case basis. We will carefully look at the circumstances.

4. Complaints and Feedback:

We receive very few complaints of which we are very proud. If you are unhappy about our services, please communicate this directly and immediately to our guide. You can also contact our office directly. We want to solve grievances as soon as possible. In case we have to refund you an amount we would like to do this before you leave Chiang Mai.

Feedback is essential to us. It allows us to become better and better. We welcome all feedback.

5. Force Majeure:

What is Force Majeure? It is defined as “Any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of a party which prevent or impede the due performance of our services including but not limited to war or hostilities; riot or civil commotion; epidemic; earthquake, flood or other natural disaster.”

Fortunately, we have minimal experience with Force Majeure, but we want to mention it here.

We are not responsible or liable for costs or missed opportunity due to changes or cancellations in the program, or part(s) thereof due to Force Majeure.
