Our festival tours are in all cases tailor-made tours. Thailand, and North Thailand, in particular has many fantastic festivals that are not very well promoted in general. Festivals such as Loy Krathong and Songkran, the Buddhist New Year, are nationwide festivals and very well-known. There are lots of other festivals and events that are barely promoted. An example is the Salak Yom festival (or ceremony) in Lamphun. This is a spectacular event which you should not miss if you are in North Thailand in September.
The Poy Sang Long ceremony is a very colourful affair and worth watching. If you are in North Thailand and you have the opportunity to witness a special event you really should take it. There are a lot of local festivals as well in cities such as Chiang Rai and Lampang and towns such as Nan, Phrae, Sukhothai, Mae Sariang and Mae Hong Son.
In some cases we will offer tours to enjoy big festivals such as Loy Krathong and Songkran in smaller towns.
