Chiang Rai Tours

These tours start and end in Chiang Rai. We offer a number of day and two day tours. We don’t limit ourselves to highlights such as Wat Rong Khun, the Blue Temple and the Black House but we also want you to meet the people.

We also offer trips to Chiang Rai that start in Chiang Mai and in Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai. These we do not consider pure Chiang Rai trips. We offer one day tours out of Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai and back. We don’t recommend this. If you have more than three days we advise to start or end your tour in Chiang Mai and start or end in Chiang Rai.

The overland route is beautiful and very interesting. If you have a bit more time we recommend the route via Chiang Dao, Fang, Thaton and Doi Mae Salong. The route via Mae Kachan Hot Springs, Viang Pa Pao and Mae Suay is also scenic but less interesting. That road is under construction at the moment. It causes a lot of inconvenience to road users and it appears that will be for a number of years.

Our Chiang Rai trips are not only day tours. We also offer several two day tours with overnights in Chiang Saen or in Santikhiri on Doi Mae Salong. These are two of our favourite places in Chiang Rai province.

The route 107 is still a rural road with not too much traffic.
