Our Chiang Mai Tours

Chiang Mai is our hub so most of our tours are Chiang Mai tours and take place in the city and surroundings. The Rose of the North as the city is nicknamed never stops to surprise. Even though we have been based in Chiang Mai since 1998 there is still so much to explore. Chiang Mai province is the 2nd largest province in Thailand. It is bordered by Chiang Rai to the northeast, Lampang and Lamphun to the south, Tak to the southwest, Mae Hong Son to the west, and Shan State of Myanmar to the north. The capital, Chiang Mai, is 685 kilometres north of Bangkok.

The diversity of Chiang Mai province is mind boggling. There are Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, Burmese, Laotian, Vietnamese, Filipinos, Cambodians and many other Asian nationalities living in the city and in the province. There are Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikh, Buddhists and other religions represented.

Apart from that there are Lawa, Akha, Hmong, Dara-ang, Lisu, Lahu, Hmong and other tribal groups in the province. Then we have the Tai-Kadai speaking groups such as Tai Yai, Tai Lue and Tai Yong. I probably forgot a number of groups. Oh yes, there is also a vibrant expat community of Japanese, Chinese, Koreans as well as Europeans from lots of different countries. Then there are Americans, Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis and so on.

This amazing mixture of peoples and religions makes the city such an amazing place. Our tours will show you the diversity of Lanna, as they use to call North Thailand.
